A RUNNING club raised more than £3,000 for St Michael’s Hospice through its annual fundraiser.

Hastings Runners collected £3,400 for the St Leonards-based charity, which looks after terminally-ill patients, by holding its Keith Chandler Memorial Five-Mile Race.

The event was held in May and members of the group donated the money to the hospice last week. Marcia Dart, the charity’s challenge event fundraiser, said: “We are so grateful to Hastings Runners for organising this event so superbly every year and for their continued support. I’m pleased to see that some of the Runners are already training for next year. The hospice would also like to thank everyone who took part and raised such a fantastic amount.”
