Rotary Club of St Leonards president, George Mighall, handed over a cheque for £2,750 to the RNLI from last year’s Castle Cycle Challenge. He was shown the up-to-date console fitted to the in-shore boat which was purchased by the previous year’s donation. This was explained to him by Glen Barry of the boat crew. Also present were operations manager Peter Adams, second coxswain Graham Furness, mechanic Tim Walsh, and launchers Colin Bewes and Kate Lawless.
Entry to the Castle Cycle Challenge this year, better known as On Yer Bike, costs £10 (minimum) for adults, and £3 for under 16s.
To enter go to www.stleonardsrotary.org or entry forms are available from Handsome Bicycles in Harold Place or other cycle shops.
