Romantic strolls around stunning Sussex reserve

The RSPB has launched a membership special to help couples celebrate Valentine's Day in the most romantic place possible '“ the great outdoors.

During February, those taking out joint membership with the RSPB will receive a private guided walk around Pulborough Brooks reserve, followed by a warm drink in the.

Lovebirds can choose exactly when to visit the reserve '“ be it a dawn chorus stroll across misty fields, an encounter with swans at dusk or a nightingale walk in spring.

Hester Phillips, of RSPB South East, said: "You could spend Valentine's Day doing the norm; buying a box of chocolates or heading to your nearest crammed restaurant or you could escape to one of Sussex's most romantic spots and help the natural world to boot."

Existing RSPB members are being called on to send their local MP a Valentine's card asking them to improve on half hearted emissions cuts.

The RSPB believes the government must agree to an emissions cut of 80 per cent by 2050, not 60 per cent as is currently proposed.
