Rodmell & Southease

THIS WEEK: This week has been a '˜stop the world I want to get off' week. So many things to sort out, pay for, tragic news of friends, dentist, accountant, visiting cat being sick in the house, car needing attention etc., the list goes on. Many people have said they feel the same about life at the moment, so maybe we need more positive vibes.

RODMELL PRIMARY SCHOOL: do you need to find a school for your child? Do you want small class sizes for your children? Rodmell is rated Good by Ofsted and we now have places. Come and see for yourselves and meet staff, pupils, parents and governors at our open days: Thursday November 10, 1.30pm to 3pm; Friday November 11, 9.30am to 11am. Rodmell School is a small primary school with a caring family atmosphere with children from Rodmell and surrounding villages, plus Lewes, Newhaven, Seaford and Peacehaven. If you can’t make these dates, feel free to phone the school on 01273 473916 to make another appointment.

GIG: Thanks to John Robinson for the invitation to his gig, by the band named The Leaky Buckets, on Saturday October 15. As usual it was a lively entertaining evening, much enjoyed by all ages, who were up and dancing most of the evening. Proceeds went to a local hospice.

MILK AND MORE: Gives a good service to the villages, with a smile from cheerful Mick, the milkman, as an added bonus. He delivers all sorts of things to us from the dairy products, household items, gardening products, chocolate, fruit drinks, bread etc., all at reasonable prices.

MORE DETAILS LATER: I hope to write details in the next PP about what has been happening in the village and what will be happening soon. At the moment readers, I am a bit tied up, as my mother is on end of life care, so I’m not really up to much. So, forgive me if I’ve missed meetings or forgotten to write about something.
