“Living in Hastings I never felt fully challenged in day to day life.

“ I loved working at Bexhill Leisure Pool but it was never enough. I’ve always wanted to travel and I love fitness.

“The lifestyle of being in the British Army just ticked all the boxes for me so I felt it was time to make something of myself.”

Robert joined the Royal Engineers in August and passed out of basic training on Friday November 6.
