Robber cuts man with knife before stealing cigarettes

A KNIFE-WIELDING robber cut a man’s arm before stealing his packet of cigarettes as he made his way home.

The 28-year-old victim was walking along Chiltern Drive in Broomgrove at 11.15pm yesterday when he was approached by a man who produced a craft knife, threatened him and demanded money.

The victim said he had no money and the suspect stole the cigarettes before running off.

The man received a slight cut to his arm but did not seek medical treatment.

The suspect is described as white, possibly in his early twenties and about 5ft 8ins to 5ft 10ins tall.
