Road blocked due to medical incident

A road has been partially blocked due to a medical incident.

A spokesperson for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said they were called at 3.30pm to assist the ambulance service in getting to a patient in Terringes Avenue, Tarring.

The fire service sent out one fire engine with an aerial ladder platform to access the patient. They were then conveyed to hospital by ambulance.

Sussex Police confirmed that they assisted the emergency services at the scene.

There have been reports that drivers have had to detour via Ringmer Road due to the incident.

South East Coast Ambulance Service has been approached for comment.
