ST MARY'S: This Sunday we celebrate the Feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary at our services: 8am Holy Communion, 10am Eucharist with a special anthem and Gloria and at 6pm an Evensong. All are welcome to celebrate St Mary's special day in the church calendar. To coincide with the Festival Weekend, a number of items from the church archives will be on display during the weekend, including photographs, scrapbooks, a Polyglot Bible dating to 1729. Many of these items will then be transferred to The Keep for permanent archiving so it is a superb opportunity for anyone interested in the church history to see the records in their home: The Exhibition opens on Saturday at 10am to noon and 2.30pm to 4.30pm and again on Sunday 2.30pm to 4.30pm.

U3A: Ringmer U3A is holding an Open Day on Wednesday in the village hall from 10am to noon. The U3A enables retired and semi-retired people to share their knowledge, interests and experience with others and in the course of that to make friends and meet new people. We have 20 activity groups ranging from astronomy to walking. The largest group is Family History. Why not pop in and see what we have to offer or visit our website at www.ringmer.info/u3a . Enrolment for the year starting this September will take place during the Open Day event. You can sign up to any group which currently has space available. If you have a passion you would like to share and there is no group currently offering your subject then we can support you in trying to set up a new one. The fee is just £8 for the year, regardless of how many groups you wish to join.
