CHRISTMAS CRAFT FAIR: Tomorrow (Saturday) there will be a Christmas Gift and Craft Fair in the village hall from 10am to 4pm. Shop early for Christmas. Over 20 tables selling a variety of interesting items, including: toys, cakes, sweets, Fair Trade goods, cards, handbags, scarves, jewellery, candles and so much more. Also tables selling surplus craft items. Free entry, refreshments. Raising funds for the village hall.

FOOTBALL AND SOCIAL CLUB: Tomorrow, Saturday, the first team are away to Seaford in a SCFL Div 1 fixture with a 3pm kick-off time. The seconds are at home versus Arundel reserves in the Reserve Section Cup, also with a 3pm kick-off at the Caburn ground. On Thursday evening the regular monthly quiz takes place in the bar and all are welcome. Usual format of 50 general knowledge questions, teams of up to four and just £1 per team member to enter. Registration from 7.30pm and the quiz gets under way at 8pm prompt.

MORRIS DANCING: Mish Mash Morris are holding a free open afternoon at The Goldsborough Hall (Scout HQ), on Sunday from 2pm to 4pm. If you’re 16 years old or over, here is an opportunity to try Morris Dancing. To experience the fun all you need are loose clothes and trainers. WI: At the October meeting we were advised on what colours we should be wearing by the speaker Michaele Wynn-Jones with her talk Colour me Gorgeous. She draped us in lengths of fabric to illustrate her point. The next meeting is on Tuesday at 7.30pm which will be the annual meeting when the new committee is chosen and the year past is reviewed. A good time to visit, meet people and find out what we do. We welcome guests.

BRIDGE CLUB: At its meeting on Wednesday October 19, the result of the duplicate pairs played was: 1, Lesley Durrant and David Warner; 2, Frank Hibbert and George Montgomery; 3, Liz and Tim Owen. The club next meets in the St Mary’s room of the village hall on Wednesday at 7.30pm. Contact 814220.

BARN DANCE: Ringmer Twinning Association are holding a Barn Dance at the Football and Social Club starting at 7.30pm on Friday November 4. Dancing will be led by Tony Dunn.
