Residents to have their say on Bognor's future

Residents around Bognor Regis are being invited to help shape the town's future.

A consultation event on Monday, May 12, will give them the chance to have their say about their hopes and aspirations for the town.

The session is being held by the Arun local strategic partnership of public, private and voluntary sector groups with the Joint Western Arun area committee of councillors.

It will take place from 6pm to 8pm at the St Mary's Centre in Grassmere Close, Felpham.

Places should be booked with Arun District Council officer Caroline Gosford by sending an email to: [email protected] or by phoning her on Tel 01903 713457.

A session for the downland area is taking place at the same times tonight at St Mary's Church Hall in Climping. Another is being held in Rustington later this month.

The opinions from the sessions will be included in the latest version of the district council's Our Kind of Place community strategy.

Arun's head of strategy and partnership, Jaqui Ball, said: "It is important to us that the views of local people of all ages and from all sectors of the community are heard.

"These events will enable us to build up a complete picture of priorities across Arun for all sectors of the community and provide the knowledge to avoid the pitfalls of 'one size fits all' solutions."
