Reggae, ska and soul tunes

THE 10-piece reggae/ska/soul band KOBO is set to return to the Phoenix Arts Centre on Saturday, November 10, after the group’s sell-out concert there earlier this year.

The band comprises Kevin Francis, Andy Neate, Will Thomson, Liam Francis, Oliver Reed, Andy Gill, Matt Armstrong and Sascha Trochet.

Their sounds are complemented by the harmonic vocals of Karis Thompson and the sweet lead vocals of Ritchie ‘C’.

Songs by Bob Marley, Dennis Brown, Stevie Wonder, UB40 and Tower of Power are among those expected to entertain the audience on the night.

Their music has been described as ‘colourful’ and ‘reggae, ska, soul and funk grooves, perfect to shake off the winter blues’.

Early booking of tickets is advised as it is KOBO’s last concert this year.

They cost £10 in advance and £12 on the door.

Tickets available from Phoenix Arts Centre (William Parker), Parkstone Road, or by phoning 01424 448200.

Alternatively they can be bought in advance on the KOBO ticket hotline 07547 181406 or 07547 181410, also by emailing the band at
