Two beautiful gardens will open their doors to the public to showcase their stunning gardens in aid of the Hospice.

Mountsfield House, Rye Hill, TN31 7NH, is reached by a sweeping gravel drive lined with fine old yew trees, limes and rhododendrons. The garden is mostly laid to lawn and its classic Georgian design offers a variety of evergreen and deciduous shrubs with colourful flowerbeds and a wonderful walled garden whilst The Stables (Mountsfield House) will provide inspiration for visitors with small gardens. The Stables boasts over 200 hundred usual and interesting plants which produce an amazing floral display with colours and textures throughout the year.

“We are so grateful to Lord and Lady Ampthill and Cornelia and Hartmutt Steffen for opening their garden’s in aid of the Hospice, and giving the public this rare opportunity to explore their beautiful gardens. Our garden owners put a tremendous amount of hard work and commitment into making their gardens ready for the public and we would encourage everyone to go along,” said Felicity James, St Michael’s Hospice.
