SOUTHERN Rail’s winter timetable, with around 2,000 changes to train times as a result of the first stages of the rebuilding of London Bridge Station, takes effect from Sunday December 9.
Due to the second phase of the East London Line extension coming into play from December, the Southern London Victoria to London Bridge (via Denmark Hill) service will be withdrawn.
There’s some good news amidst the anticipated forthcoming disruption, as additional trains between Brighton and London will be available on Sundays. In addition, there’s a new early-bird train from Uckfield to London Bridge and on the Mainline East Route, there are faster journey times on Sundays.
On the West London Line, there will be four additional morning peak-time trains.
Passengers are advised to check train times before travelling.
Timetables are available from staffed Southern stations and can be downloaded and printed online .
