YOUNGSTERS at All Saints primary school spent the day marauding around in viking fancy dress as part of a history project.
Pupils and teachers in year four at the Githa Road school dressed in authentic costumes as they embarked one a day of viking themed fun.
Among the activities were art classes in sketching brooches and necklaces and using quill pens and bottles of ink to write with.
Children also tried their hands at weaving using a loom and tablets and tried
on helmets, handled weapons and donned chainmail tunics.
Kelvin Godfrey, the school’s head, said the day was a success.
