Powerboat race team seeks rescruits

The Emirates Offshore circuit racing team have only just started training for the summer races yet most of them are already tipped to achieve major honours.

In fact the team is entering the UK's only female driver in the powerful 2 litres A class against the leading drivers in the field.

Owner Kevin Hoare wants to build on that success by attracting even more would-be racers onto the Sussex-based team.

"We're keen to built recognition of the sport and encouarge new drivers and navigators, male or female.

"With strong teams like ours ready to encouarge and coach drivers and navigators to world class standards, this is a sport people can't afford to miss out on.

"Speeds up to 80mph provide both racers and spectators with an exciting and exhilarating experience they will never forget."
