Power cut in Midhurst

Residents are expected to be without electricity until 8.30pm tonight when engineers hope to have finished installing back-up generators, a spokesperson for SSE said.
Engineers are also investigating the cause of the supply problem, which started at approximately 12.30pm this afternoon.

Hide AdChichester District Council has tweeted advising residents to keep fridges and freezers closed as far as is possible in the warm weather.
A spokesperson for SSE said the company would like to thank residents for their patience while work is being carried out.
