With Mr Sunak ringing in the changes after succeeding Liz Truss as PM after a calamitous 44 days in office, he has brought in a new team at the Department for Education.
Chichester MP Gillian Keegan has been named Secretary of State for Education, and Mr Gibb has been appointed as a Minister of State at the DfE.
He tweeted: “An honour to be asked by the PM to return to the DfE. Looking forward to helping deliver the PM’s ambitious plans for ever higher standards in schools and world class technical education.”
