JAMES BACON (Labour): I was born and bred in Hastings and have lived in Maze Hill for 20 years. When I’m not at work, my pastimes include karate, church, fundraising, theatre and local history.
My achievements include climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in 2011 for Childreach International, founding Hastings Young Labour, and being part of Hands off the Conquest Campaign. I have been active in the ward, and recently led a volunteer street clean in West Hill Road.
My main aims will be to focus on streets free from dog mess and fly-tipping, tackling empty properties and improving our built environment and improving bus services.
