Police office scoops Arrow Award for service to town

Hastings town centre beat officer PC Nick Marriott has been honoured for his service to the community.

Pc Marriott won the Emergency Service Award at the Arrow Awards, held at Azur in St Leonards and hosted by Arrow FM’s radio hosts Kevin King and Paul Williams.

The nomination was made by the local community that PC Marriott serves each day within Hastings town centre.

.PC Marriott, from Hastings neighbourhood policing team, said: “I am honoured to have received the award and especially because it is nominated by the public. This really does mean a lot to me.”

Chief Inspector Paul Phelps, Sussex Police’s district commander for Hastings, said: “What a wonderful way to celebrate the good work that PC Marriott does within Hastings town centre. I am proud that he is part of our town’s neighbourhood team.”

The Arrow Awards are in their fourth year and are held annually to celebrate the people, groups and businesses that make this such a great area to live and work in.
