Police grant for village youth

The Sedlescombe Youth Committee applied to Sussex Police for a grant to cover equipment for the young people’s club.

The result of the successful bid was handed to youth workers Matt and Mikala Davey, who grew up in the village.

The Sedlescombe committee works tirelessly on supporting the young people with a free Fanta Drinks Party on Thursday June 21 and go-karting coming up on June 28.

Casey Smith, 16, said: “I’m very happy that we have been given the money.”
