POLICE are becoming increasingly concerned for the safety of a man who leads a “nomadic lifestyle” and has gone missing.

Philip Palmer, 39, of no fixed address, has been missing since August 22, when he was last known to have picked up medication from his local pharmacy.

Mr Palmer is well-known in Hastings and regularly spends time in the town centre and seafront areas. It is believed that he may have links to the Portsmouth area.

The last time he was seen it is believed he was wearing an army-style 95 pattern rucksack. He is described as white, 5’11”, with short dark hair, brown eyes with a southern accent.

Sergeant Bob Daniels, of Hastings Neighbourhood Response Team, said: “Philip leads a nomadic lifestyle and may travel around the area.

“We are keen to hear from Philip or from anyone who has spoken to him in the last couple of weeks so that we can confirm he is safe and well.” Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact Sussex Police on 101.
