Police are appealing for information after break-ins at business premises, building sites and motor factors in and around Hastings.

Tools and building equipment, including whacker plates and car parts, have been stolen in the raids.

Sergeant Steven Prince, of the Hastings Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Unfortunately we’ve seen a rise in overnight breaks recently.

“We’re asking anyone who sees or hears anything suspicious or out of place around such properties to call police without delay on 999.”

Anyone with information concerning break-ins is asked to email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or phone 101.

Alternatively you can call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or email www.crimestoppers-uk.org
