RESIDENTS are objecting to plans to turn a former care home into supported living accommodation in Linton Road, Hastings.
A planning application submitted by Realm Consultancy turn a former residential home into three independent unit comprising of 18 single bedrooms, will be discussed at the council planning meeting next Wednesday (Juy 16).
The plans include 18 bedrooms, 11 of which would have ensuite facilities, communal bathrooms living/dining areas, kitchens and office space. And one of the 18 bedrooms has been allocated for a ‘24 hour presence’ member of staff.
However the council has received 42 letters and a petition of objection. Some of the objections include concerns about the intensity of use, the type of resident who be accommodated and parking and highway issues. The meeting will take place at 6pm at the Town Hall, Queens Square.
