Arun Vet Group, who have a base in Storrington, has applied for a change of use for Apogee House in order to grow its business.

Matt Gittings, owner for the last ten years, said: “It has proved very, very successful. The practice has grown, we have had new staff and we wanted to expand our services.

“Someone came to me and said would you be interested in this property, it is a perfect site.”

Mr Gittings explained the plans will see it be a ‘a proper stand alone practice with offices, theatres, x-ray machines – hopefully a real facility’.

It is open for comment until August 25, with a decision due by September 15.

Mr Gittings said: “We are hoping it would be met with no real resistance, I am not getting the vibes that it should be a problem.”
