At Pett WI on Friday July 19 members thoroughly enjoyed the flower arranging demonstration by local expert Jude Robertson, which was both interesting and informative. Members have appreciated the local speakers that have predominated over recent months and any other local experts who would be interested in speaking at a Pett WI meeting next year can always contact me by email.

Don’t forget Pett Flower Show on Saturday July 27. Opening at 2pm at the Recreation Ground, as usual it will be an event not to be missed! It will feature a brass band, the wonderful tea tent, a bouncy castle, BBQ and produce stall as well as coconut shy, Pimms and beer bar, birds of prey and children’s sports, which will include events for parents! And if that wasn’t enough there will also be the Fun Dog Show and a grand raffle.

Church Service on July 28 – Holy Communion, St Mary & St Peter, Pett at 9:30am led by Richard Baron; Sunday Service at the Methodist Chapel at 10:45am.

The Village Choir next meets on Monday July 29. They will then have a break during August and restart on Monday 2nd September. The frequency of meetings will then change. They will meet for 6 weeks on every Monday until October 7th, have 3 weeks off and then meet for another 6 weeks from November 4th until December 9th. There will be regular updates in Village Voice.

POPP on Tuesday July 30 will feature Keith Osborne and Music for Health. The session runs from 10:30am to 2:30pm and will include a two-course lunch for just £5.
