Sussex brewery donates beer to ambulance service

Sussex downland brewery Bedlam has delivered cases of its beer to South East Coast Ambulance Service crews as a way of saying thank-you.

Sally O’Connor, communications manager at the Plumpton Green based brewery, said: “Community is at the heart of everything Bedlam Brewery do and we have a passion for hospitality and satisfying needs by serving others.

“We been so overwhelmed by the support shown to us during the current situation and the hospitality industry as a whole, that we wanted to show our support to the community too.”

Danny Hoskins, sales and marketing director at Bedlam, visited the South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust and presented them with a few cases of beer to share amongst their team.

From the number of ambulance crew who suddenly appeared to help carry the cases, within a safe distance of course, Danny knew they certainly appreciated it.

“Without the support from our beer lovers this would not have been possible,” said Danny. “We’d like to thank everyone who has supported us over the past few weeks.”

Bedlam Brewery launched a new website just days before the Coronavirus pandemic hit, which allowed them to deliver Bedlam Beer to the door via their home delivery service.

The brewery says the beer is going down a storm nationwide and includes cans and bottles and an offering of ever changing brewery fresh beer available via 5L Mini Kegs.

The team at Bedlam Brewery value working with the local community and to support local producers Bedlam Brewery now include local Albourne Estate Wine and Ditchling Gin for home delivery in Sussex from their Online Shop.

Bedlam Brewery are especially proud of their eco-credentials and brew using solar power on a farm just outside Brighton in the heart of the South Downs. They donate all their spent grain to the farm to feed cattle and compost the hops.

They deliver t beers to mainland UK and offer free home delivery within Sussex with a spend of £60 or more and free delivery to local villages Hassocks, Hurstpierpoint, Burgess Hill, Ditchling, Plumpton and Wivelsfield Green.
