Street mural appears along St Leonards promenade

A colourful street mural has appeared on St Leonards seafront promenade.

The piece depicts various marine life and was completed last week.

The mural appears at the front of the Beach Cafe and the ramp to the side on the promenade opposite Warrior Square.

Jeremy Towns, who jointly owns the cafe with his wife Justine, said he hired the artist to make the mural to coincide with the cafe reopening on Saturday (July 4) after closing in March due to lockdown.

He said: “I saw the wall and ramp and thought ‘Let’s do something to make it colourful to coincide with the reopening’.

“I got permission from the council and Sean, the artist, spent six hours making the mural.”
