Search under way off Hastings coast
A search is currently under way off the beach at Hastings this morning (Thursday, June 25).
A helicopter was spotted, believed to be the coastguard helicopter, along with the RNLI’s lifeboat.
A spokesman for the Maritime and Coastguard Agency said: “HM Coastguard are assisting Sussex Police at an incident today in Hastings.
“We have sent our search and rescue helicopter from Lydd, as well as Bexhill Coastguard Rescue Team. Hastings RNLI ILB and Pett Level Independent Rescue Boat are also in attendance.”
More as we get it.
