Just two days ago the bonfire and fireworks site on the recreation ground was under water but now the water has thankfully drained away.

Robertsbridge brings the local bonfire season to a close and is sure to be a great night.

The torchlit procession will set off from Station Road at 7.15pm, following a route up to George Hill then back along the High Street to the recreation ground, arriving at 8.15pm. The fireworks should start at around 8.30pm.

The general public will not have access to the recreation ground but are invited to view the firework from The Clappers. The Society ask that people spread out along the clappers to ensure safety and comfortable viewing.

There is a disability area at the cricket pavilion and Phoenix Medical will be providing first aid at the recreation ground. If you need assistance ask a marshal. A lost children and welfare point is located at the Freeman and Foreman offices.

People should not pick up discarded torches or light fireworks. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. The Society makes every effort to ensure the event is safe and friendly but people attend at their own risk.
