The Trussell Trust reported a 47% increase in need for emergency food parcels during the first six months of the pandemic. The local shopping centre is urging customers to continue donating during their essential shopping trips.

Andy Harvey, Centre Manager at Priory Meadow, said: “We are extremely grateful for the donations we receive; we have been able to pass on around three large bags of food each week to Hastings Foodbank which is fantastic.”

“We look forward to a time when we can fundraise for the charity again through our centre events. For now, we really encourage the local community to continue their goodwill and help spread the word about our donation point and awareness of the charity.” He added.
