Billy Kewley and Ryan Hodd will be setting off from Bournemouth and hope to arrive at Hastings Pier by May 9.

Billy explained: “There is a very straight forward reason why we are doing this. Since the beginning of the pandemic charities fundraising capabilities have been severely restricted and donations on average are down by 68 percent. The knock on affect is simple - as donations reduce so too does a charities ability to provide critical services in communities.

“Therefore, we have decided to team up with the amazing Chestnut Tree House a children’s hospice based across East Sussex that provides state-of- -the-art care to over 300 children and also the much needed support of the families. To put it into context, it costs on average £6,800 per day to run the hospice and carry out their amazing work.

“Both myself and Ryan are aware how tough this past year has been for everyone but this event will offer much needed support to an amazing cause.”
