Paint or draw award winning Hastings Old Town pub for chance of winning vouchers
People are being invited to draw or paint a Hastings Old Town pub with the aim of their work being displayed in its windows for people to admire.
There is also the chance of winning vouchers.
The competition is being run by The Crown, in All Saints Street.
Tess Swan, who runs the award winning pub with husband Andrew, said: “The Crown has been lucky over the years to see a few pieces of art inspired by the pub.
“Now it’s your turn! Send The Crown your drawings, paintings, etchings or sketchings of the pub.
“Write your name, age and email address on the back of the picture. The competition is open to all ages and there are vouchers to be won.
“All pieces will be displayed in The Crown pub windows.
“Pop them in the post to 64-66 All Saints Street, TN34 3BN or push through the letterbox in the door up Crown Lane.”
The deadline for the competition is the end of January.
The Crown has been previously voted as the best place to drink in the UK by the Guardian and was named as The Parliamentary Pub of the Year for the South East.
It has a reputation for supporting local producers and brewers.
There has been a pub on the present site since 1794 when the Crown was a coaching inn with coaches setting off at 8am every morning heading for London.
