Chris Gentry, who runs the station, said: “veteran American presenter Emperor Rosko has been “rulin’ the air waves” for about 50 years.

“He started being a DJ whilst in the serving US Navy. Better known in Britain in the 60’s and 70’s for his “pirate radio days” on Radio Caroline and his dynamic show at the BBC, he was one of the original DJs to join Radio One.

The award winning radio station broadcasts to patients at the Conquest Hospital but is available for anyone to listen to with programmes streamed from its website at www.conquesthospitalradio.co.uk.
