Reports from members of the public came in at about 12.30pm today to say Hastings RNLI, East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service, coastguards and a coastguard helicopter was called to the scene. Maritime and Coastguard Agency said on Twitter at 2.17pm, “Missing surfer has been found in Rye Bay following search involving coastguard helicopter.”
