Hastings Week cancelled

The annual Hastings Week festivities have been cancelled this year due to the ongoing coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

The news was announced today (Sunday, July 26) on the organisers’ Facebook page.

A statement said: “Sadly Hastings Borough Council has decided that no large public events are to take place on its land until at least the end of October 2020 because of the risk of spreading Covid-19.

“As a result the events scheduled to take place during Hastings Week have been cancelled. This includes the Town Crier’s Championship, the Classic Car Show, the Classic Motorbike Show and the Sprat and Winkle Commercial Vehicle Run.”
