The Bensons family funfair, which takes place at Glyne Gap, will run from Friday (July 31) to Sunday, August 9.

On some rides, visitors will be required to wear a face mask.

Those attending the event, even if they are not to go on rides, have been asked to bring their own face masks or purchase one at the site.

Confirming the event would go ahead, organisers issued guidance saying: "Please maintain social distance at all times to comply with current government guidance. There will be clear markers inside the fairground indicating how you should queue at a safe distance from other people.

"We are applying the social distancing guidelines on our rides by leaving seats empty between rides, except for riders from the same household who may sit together.

"We will be limiting the capacity of our funhouses and walk-through shows and we will have fewer customers using the games stalls at any one time to allow people to social distance."

Organisers said there will also be screens at food stalls and said all rides and attractions will be sanitised ahead of the fair opening to the public.

Staff will all be wearing face masks and gloves 'where necessary' and all will be temperature-checked daily before starting work, the organisers added.
