Eastbourne social group celebrates donation from Sussex Police
Sussex Police presented a cheque of £500 to Frederick Smith and Gilly Lewis of Just Friends, on Tuesday February 18.
The money will be used to ensure the success of a planned VE Day event in May to commemorate Victory in Europe Day.
Just Friends is a social group for people who live alone, including carers, who are not looking for a relationship, but enjoy activities including, lunches, walking, days out, theatre, etc.
They meet on the first and third Tuesday of the month, at Bibendum, 10am to 12 noon.
