Here are the latest dogs looking for homes at the RSPCA, which has branches in both West and East Sussex.

Ernie is a sweet boy who enjoys being around people, having cuddles and exploring. The RSPCA has limited history on the pup but he has shown himself to be an affectionate sociable dog. However, Ernie can find new things and environments quite scary so is looking for patient adopters who can continue his positive reward based training to engage with him, build his confidence and show him that the world's not such a scary place. He is a fun and active young dog who can be quite boisterous and would benefit from training so that he can develop into a well mannered boy. Due to this, Ernie would be best suited to an adult only home with a secure large sized garden. He would also benefit from people who are around most of the time due to him preferring companionship and the time he needs to create a strong bond with his adopters.

Maya is another dog who arrived recently from a multi-dog household after her owner was taken into hospital. She is a friendly, affectionate girl who will sit on your lap for cuddles if you let her! She can be a little shy at first but loves attention once she has met you. Maya walks well on the lead and enjoys walking with her doggie friends at the shelter. She is sociable with other dogs and would be ok to live with a resident dog after suitable introductions. More information will be available as Maya is assessed.

Aubrey is a very friendly, lovely girl who wins the hearts of everyone she meets! She was not in the best condition when she arrived at the rescue centre but is slowly gaining weight and feeling much more healthy. Aubrey is very affectionate and loves fuss and attention. She walks well on the lead and knows how to sit nicely for a photo! Aubrey is great with other dogs and is currently also living with a cat in her foster home. The RSPCA said she could live with 'dog-savvy' children aged eight years or older.
