Children in Hastings and Rother celebrating World Book Day

School children across Hastings and Rother are taking part in World Book Day on Thursday March 4.

World Book Day aims to promote reading for pleasure, offering every child and young person the opportunity to have a book of their own.

With many children still at home, organisers were encouraging families to dress up at home and get involved online.

According to Google search trends, Roald Dahl favourite Matilda was set to be the most popular costume choice, followed by Wimpy Kid. Harry Potter and Alice in Wonderland are also favourites.
