“He started the day after Captain Tom died and set out to raise £100 by cycling 100km in 10 days. He completed this on Saturday February 13, having currently raised over £1,500.

“However, now he has decided to continue cycling until the end of lockdown, 10km a day and keep the fundraising page open with the hope of raising even more money. He has now completed 160km.”

Charlie said: “I was hugely inspired by Captain Tom Moore and wanted to follow his example.
