The Bruderhof Darvell community in Robertsbridge, made up of 300 men, women and children, invited a camera crew to follow the lives of several residents, including Hannah Huleatt, who is trying to decide if life in the Bruderhof is for her.

Hannah decides to try London and moves out of the community to do an internship at XLP, a charity that does youth work.

Meanwhile, her parents and the rest of the community at Darvell continue living their shared life in Christian community, running their factory and raising their children.

The Bruderhof gives financial support to many well-known causes in the area, such as its recent donation for Hope Kitchen in Hastings.

Members also work as volunteers at the foodbank, hospital, hospice and local sports teams.

Dawn Hill, who runs Robertsbridge Stores, said: “The members of the Darvell community have always been very helpful, welcome members of the community.

With the coronavirus lockdown having a major impact on many of our local valued advertisers - and consequently the advertising that we receive - we are more reliant than ever on you helping us to provide you with news and information by buying a copy of our newspapers.

Our journalists are highly trained and our content is independently regulated by IPSO to some of the most rigorous standards in the world. But being your eyes and ears comes at a price. So we need your support more than ever to buy our newspapers during this crisis.
