Hastings lifeboat said both of its boats were sent to the area near Hastings Pier on Friday morning (July 3) as the woman got into trouble during a 'blustery south-westerly wind'.

The Hastings Coastguard Rescue Team and the inshore lifeboat were also called to the scene and quickly located the woman before helping her out of the water.
