Bexhill pub donating more than 1,000 Easter eggs to NHS staff and good causes thanks to generous local people

The Townhouse pub in Bexhill has collected over a thousand Easter eggs in the space of a week to be donated to good causes.

Landlord Luke Smith said: “In just one week managed to get close to 1,200 eggs donated. It’s been amazing.

“They are being donated to, four wards at the Conquest Hospital, Woodlands mental health hospital, four care homes in Bexhill for adults with learning disabilities, St Mary’s School, Help the Homeless and the local food bank.

“I really want to acknowledge the amazing generosity of people in this great town. Also in every lockdown I have organised drawing competitions for the kids to decorate my windows to make people smile as they go past. Currently every window is covered with positive pictures.”

Last May the Townhouse created a giant giraffe painting that covered all three storeys of the building. The giraffe was named Spotty by local children.
