Fundraising Manager Hayley Kenward explained: “My Superhero Run gives Veterans’ Growth supporters an opportunity to have fun while safely raising money.

“We have been following government guidelines throughout the pandemic and have adapted our courses since COVID-19 mainly to 1-1 sessions to limit the number of people onsite and how we manage that.

“We have been constantly monitoring the available resources for any changes and have a fully complainant system in place.

“It is with our amazing supporters help, by taking part in virtual events like this and raising much needed funds for the charity that we can continue to provide our service to our veterans’ and their families.

“Jason, our CEO, and a veteran, will be dressing up as ‘wonder woman’ his favourite superhero on April 28 and is inviting everyone to dress up as their favourite superhero and join in the fun around their local area.

“COVID-19 has been exceptionally tough for everyone. Re-occurring lockdowns and restrictions have created huge challenges and changes for charities, individuals and families across the UK.

“We know our supporters want to make a difference and this a safe way for companies to involve their colleagues in fundraising; families who want to get active and have fun together; and anyone else who wants to make a difference and support our important work.”
