These adorable cats, dogs and rabbits are all up for adoption at a Sussex animal rescue and are hoping to find loving homes.
Wadars in Ferring, West Sussex, cares for cats, dogs, rabbits and other small animals at its rescue centre – so, whether you’re a cat person or a dog person, or you prefer a much smaller four-legged friend, there might just be a pet for you here!
The charity has been rehoming pets and rescuing wildlife since 1969 and has many adorable animals currently looking for homes.

5. Ralph - nine year old Schnauzer cross
Ralph is an affectionate nine year old Schnauzer cross who is very happy meeting new people and enjoys a little fuss and attention! He loves his walks and, while he’s more than happy to meet other dogs, he does tend to pull on the lead until he gets going – but this should easily be corrected with a little training, Wadars said. Whilst Ralph has not lived with children before, he has been used to having youngsters visit, and is now ready to find his forever home. Photo: Wadars
6. Taz - 15-month-old Pug crossbreed
Once Taz gets to know you, he is extremely affectionate, but initially can be a little worried around strangers. Wadars said he is prone to taking his house-guarding duties a bit too seriously sometimes and will need someone with patience who can ensure that any visitors to his home are properly introduced. A well behaved little dog outdoors, Taz is happy to meet cats and other dogs. He is looking for an adult-only home. Photo: Wadars
7. Rex - six year old Chow Chow
Rex's owners were forced to move abroad and were sadly unable to take him with them. Wadars is looking for someone with experience of his breed, who has time to get to know Rex and build an understanding and bond of trust with him. The charity added that his breed are very much a ‘one man’ dog, totally loyal and trustworthy towards their owners, but generally completely aloof and uninterested in interacting with strangers! Rex walks nicely on the lead, is happy meeting other dogs his size, but is wary of cats and small dogs. Photo: Wadars
8. Lady - five year old crossbreed
Lady is a small to medium sized cross breed who Wadars said could probably best be described as a slim Basset Hound, without the ears! She is friendly and energetic, good around other dogs and was used to being around visiting grandchildren in her previous home. She also likes to swim! Photo: Wadars
