Toby, aged 11, from The Ridge, Hastings, uncovered the fossil on a recent visit to the beach at Rock-a-Nore.

His mum Juliet explained: “Toby has been brought up with fossiling, as it is his father’s hobby. We regularly holiday in Isle of Wight as dinosaur bones regularly are discovered.

“We love our town and Toby loves nothing more than looking for discoveries on our beach. This is his best find to date. We hope that his find encourages more children to get out exploring.”
