No planning permission is required to use a former estate agency in Bognor Regis as a takeaway, planners said.
An application was submitted for a lawful development certificate for the proposed change of use from estate/letting agency to a takeaway at 7 Lyon Street West.
Arun District Council planning officers said the takeaway would serve coffee, bubble tea, soft drinks and cold drinks.
The two uses fell under the same use class and so did not constitute a material change of use.
