A GROUP of pensioners went to Belgium to lay a wreath for the war dead.

The 16 pensioners, together with Deputy Mayor Bruce Dowling, visited Ypres on September 6, laying the wreath at Tyne Cot cemetery. There are more than 8,000 unidentified bodies at the cemetery whose graves have been inscribed A soldier of the Great War. Known unto God. Hastings Pensioners Association would like to thank Nigel Mascord from Empress Coaches who has driven members on all of their trips for the past two years.
