Pebsham store fined

SERVING alcohol to an under-age girl has landed a Pebsham store in trouble.

A staff member has received a fixed 80 fine.

Four licensed stores across Rother were caught out in a joint test-purchase operation mounted by East Sussex trading standards officers in conjunction with Sussex Police last Thursday evening.

The volunteer was sent into stores in Bexhill, Rye, Camber and Winchelsea Beach to buy alcohol in an under-cover test to see if they checked her age.
