Peasmarsh CE School news: This week saw the final week of the school year at our school, there have been lots of interesting and different things going on for the past couple of weeks! There have been trips for many of the children including one to Rye for KS2 children and a special one for the Year 6 leavers to Hastings -this trip was generously funded by the Peasmarsh School Association. The school is very grateful for the continued support of the PSA which is currently looking for new members - anyone is welcome to join, mums, dads, grandparents and any local residents who like to take an active part in community life.

Every year children can take part in a free summer reading challenge at libraries across East Sussex. Are the children of Peasmarsh brave enough to explore The Awful Upstairs, The Gruesome Ground Floor and the Spine-tingling Cellar? The challenge is to read any six great books that children have borrowed from the library. There’s a Creepy House poster and stickers, as well as more rewards to collect and a fantastic medal and certificate for those who finish. Children who aren’t reading on their own yet can take part by sharing their books with someone at home or by using audio books. Creepy House runs in all East Sussex libraries from 13 July until 14 September; as well as the Summer Reading Challenge there are lots of free fun events happening in libraries during the summer holidays. You will be able to book a place at an event from 13th July onwards.

The service at Peasmarsh church this Sunday will be Holy Eucharist at 3pm; the 8am service is at Beckley and there is a Family Service at Beckley at 10am.
